Location: In the South Luberon region, 30 Km north of Aix-en-Provence, the property is located between two villages, classified ‘Un de Plus Beaux Villages de France’, Ansouis (3 km) and Lourmarin (8 km).
Other interesting villages in the vicinity include: Cucuron (5 km), Vaugine (6 km), Cadenet (6 km), Bonnieux (16 km), La Rocque d’Antheron (15 km).
All above historic villages and the area feature many attractions: medieval sites, music festivals, farmers markets, many renowned restaurants, wine tasting, as well as horse-riding, hiking, etc.).
The train station (Aix-en-Provence TGV) is at 40 km and Marseille international airport is at 60 km.
Property Landscape and facilities: This 20 hectares (50 acres) private domain is situated on gently elevated rolling Provencal hills. Its unique position makes it an ideal retreat of total calm, privacy space and serenity. The landscape is composed of vignards, vast well-maintained open fields with wild aromatics plants, and hills with many private walk paths among old trees. The property offers a diversity of captivating panoramas.
A large swimming pool (23 x 7 mt) in the form of an old basin is harmoniously located among the natural shade of old trees at about 60 meters from the house for reciprocal respect of privacy.
A shaded ‘terrain de jeux de boulles’ with open panoramic views as well as an ‘organic’ vegetable garden are located near the house.
Yoga practice is also one of the facilities available on request, for guests who stay with the "Individual in-bedroom-suites" option, enjoyable in the property's calm and panoramic landscape with the guide of one of the host/owner who is a yoga teacher.
The house: A fully restored authentic mas (history traced to 12th century) of over 550 m2 living area can accommodate comfortably up to 12 persons. Five in-bedrooms suites each with its own private bathroom, four of which have its own vast terrace and an alternative independent outdoor access.
All rooms have a double bed (160 x 200 cm). Suite Orchidee has also a secon bed of 120 x 200 cm. Additional separate beds (140 x 200 cm or 90 x 200 cm) can be added in three of the other bedrooms suites for more flexible accommodation (on demand).
